Lady Du on turning pain into progress
Lady Du, a South African artist and businesswoman, has recently opened up on Instagram regarding the personal difficulties she has faced in her journey toward success.
In her candid message, Lady Du made it clear that her goal is not to be remembered for her wealth or fame.
“I don’t want to be known for how much money I have, how rich I look, or how famous I get,” she wrote.
“I wanna be known for the lives I changed, opportunities I took, risks I took… My dream is to employ 100 people. I’ve been saying this for years.”
She also discussed the obstacles that accompany her ambitions.
Lady Du revealed that there are times when she faces significant financial challenges, funding her activities from her own savings and pushing her limits.
“Honestly this isn’t easy guys, don’t be fooled by our posts… sometimes I even push myself so hard to do something I know will finish my money but things all work out in the end,” she stated.
In her post, she also reflected on the emotional pain that has driven her work ethic.
The loss of her father last year had a profound impact on her, contributing to moments of sadness and motivating her to keep striving.
“I tried to escape the pain by focusing on my dreams. By the time I woke up, I had invested and finished all my projects,” she remarked, adding that she often finds herself in tears at home, longing for her father’s presence.
Lady Du expressed her appreciation for her supporters, referring to them as her “CEOs” and acknowledging their impact on her life. “This isn’t just me but you too!” she emphasized.
This message comes as Lady Du celebrates the launch of her new wine brand, marking a significant achievement after years dedicated to her beauty business.
