Fans troll Mihlali Ndamase after showing her acne in new YouTube video
The South African content creator and beauty entrepreneur Mihlali Ndamase has faced criticism regarding her skin condition.
In her recent YouTube video, which marked her return after a five-month hiatus, Mihlali opted for a makeup-free look during the introduction, quickly drawing attention to her breakout.
During the 42-minute segment, she reintroduced herself and candidly discussed her ongoing skin challenges.
“For my day ones, you guys know me and my ongoing journey with acne. The girl had it nipped in the bud, but my skin broke out again recently,” she shared honestly before starting her makeup routine.
Her transparency resonated with many followers, some of whom commended her for sharing her natural appearance and imperfections.
Others appreciated her confidence in showcasing her bare skin before applying her usual glamorous makeup.
In just two days, the video attracted over 62,000 views and numerous positive remarks.
Nonetheless, reactions on Twitter (X) took a negative turn, with some users mocking her breakout and speculating about its origins.
One user stated, “This is not a hormonal acne issue. Those glow shots have bad effects, and this is one example of such.”
An additional commenter noted, “This is the result of skin bleaching if you look closely. This is not normal acne.”
Others were more critical, with one remarking, “So this is how you look without your makeup?”
