Miss SA and Bridegett Jones reacts to bullying allegations
As the Miss South Africa 2025 competition approaches, attention is being drawn not just to the finalists’ elegance but also to allegations of misconduct involving one of them.
Content creator Kayla Jenecker recently took to TikTok to accuse finalist Bridgett Jones of bullying her while they collaborated, stating that this conduct led to a harmful workplace atmosphere that impacted her mental well-being.
In light of these claims, the Miss SA organization released a statement acknowledging their awareness of the situation.
“All our participants in the programme are expected to uphold the Miss South Africa code of conduct, which outlines our commitment to respect, integrity and accountability throughout the competition. Miss SA does not condone any behaviour that is not aligned to these values,” the organization noted.
They assured that while the complaints are treated seriously, any matters will be handled through the formal procedures currently in place, reinforcing their dedication to fostering a respectful and inclusive environment for all competitors.
In response, Jones addressed the accusations, seeking to clarify her stance.
On Instagram, she stated that the allegations were related to a situation at her previous workplace, in which she had no part.
“The matter referenced relates to my former employer and colleagues in a legal case in which I had no involvement. By the time those proceedings took place, I had already left the company,” she clarified.
