Sangoma Mpho Wa Badimo called out for scamming clients
The winner of Big Brother Mzansi and well-known sangoma Mpho Wa Badimo is under fire after allegations of defrauding her followers surfaced.
Reports indicate that she collected funds from clients for a seminar intended for the grieving, which was supposed to occur earlier this year, but she neither followed through nor provided refunds to those who paid.
An upset client took to social media to share that she had invested R950 for the event that was promoted for April 2025.
The individual claims that Mpho postponed the seminar to May 5, stating there were organizational issues.
“A few days before the event, she posts in the group that she’ll be postponing to the 5th of May because her team is pulling out and everything is just a mess and that she’ll be changing the venue too,” the client revealed.
The new date never occurred, with Mpho reportedly canceling once again, alleging that she required psychiatric hospitalization.
“Next thing, May comes and she cancels the event and says that she won’t be continuing with it because she needs to be admitted to the psychiatric hospital. She said she will refund us all our money,” the client continued.
Several months have passed, and the supposed victims assert they have yet to receive their refunds, claiming the healer has cut off communication and ignored their attempts to reach her.
This incident has gained significant attention after being discussed by the gossip outlet The Popcorn Room, leading to a mixed response from the public in South Africa.
While numerous individuals criticized Mpho for her actions, others pointed fingers at the victims for placing too much trust in her.
