Businessman and reality television personality Musa Mseleku surprised audiences with a heartfelt appeal to his daughter, Mpilo Mseleku, in a recent episode of Uthando Nes’thembu Season 9.
In the second episode, Mseleku visited Mpilo at her job, where they enjoyed lunch together and engaged in a pivotal talk that shifted direction unexpectedly.
Mseleku expressed his worries about ensuring the continuity of MaKhumalo’s family lineage, given her struggles with infertility.
The issue surrounding MaKhumalo’s inability to conceive has been a recurring topic on the show, as the couple previously sought various medical solutions to expand their family without success.
During their discussion, Mseleku recounted that he initially spoke to MaCele about traditionally appointing Lwandle within MaKhumalo’s home, but she declined, prompting him to look for alternatives.
“If we do not come up with a solution, and to ensure MaKhumalo’s home does not die, you need to step up and protect this home,” Mseleku stated to his 21-year-old daughter.
Clearly taken aback, Mpilo sought further clarification from her father.
He went on to specify that he was suggesting she have children, not necessarily get married.
Mpilo laughed in disbelief before firmly denying the proposition.
“I don’t understand what is happening. Maybe dad feels like he is at the last straw, so he feels that he has to rope me in, but not me. Forget it,” she remarked.
Mpilo indicated that such a delicate topic would require input from MaKhumalo, but expressed doubt that Thobile would agree to such an arrangement.
The exchange sparked significant discussion online, particularly given Mpilo’s strong relationship with MaKhumalo, who played a maternal role in her upbringing.
Mseleku is toxic, leech bro, a parasite! 🚮 he must survive against all odds? this is insane and selfish! #Uthandonesthembu pic.twitter.com/3aL6DwMTo9
