This month, Apple Music’s Rap Life Radio, hosted by Ebro Darden, Global Editorial Head of Hip-Hop and R&B, will showcase South African artist, songwriter, and producer,Nasty C, who will discuss his forthcoming albumFREE with Africa Now Radio’s Nandi Madida.
Nasty C has established himself as a key figure in African hip-hop and is now launching a new phase in his career with his independent label, Tall Racks.
FREE will mark his inaugural project under Tall Racks, featuring fifteen pure rap tracks that highlight his innovative spirit and musical reach.
“With this album, I feel very free,” Nasty C tells Apple Music. “Free to create and express myself however I want. I’ve grown so much and learned so much over the years that releasing this project on my own label just means a lot. It speaks to freedom.”
In addition to Nasty C, Rap Life Radio will feature A-Reece, a prominent figure in South African rap, who is set to release a new single titled “Sweatshop.” This track boasts soulful piano melodies coupled with vintage, sample-heavy production.
Also on the program is ODUMODUBLVCK, a Nigerian rap innovator gaining international recognition, who collaborates with Stormzy and Zlatan on a fresh single titled “Pay Me” – a smooth song featuring polished production, catchy drum beats, and light keyboard arrangements.
