Wilfred Ndidi is on the brink of making a move to Besiktas, with negotiations currently taking place for the Nigerian athlete to reunite with former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
Softfootball reports that an agreement between Ndidi and Besiktas is nearly finalized, pending only the resolution of his departure from Leicester City.
Fabrizio Romano mentioned on his X handle that the Turkish side is keen on Ndidi, who is eager to continue competing in top-tier football.

Fabrizio disclosed on his X handle the following:
“The agreement between Wilfred Ndidi and Besiktas on personal terms is almost done.
Besiktas is awaiting Ndidi to finalize exit details with Leicester City to proceed with the transfer.
In related news, Ndidi is enthusiastic about the potential transfer and has already approved a contract offer from the club in Istanbul. Besiktas is now looking to secure the player’s confirmation regarding his status with Leicester so they can wrap up the deal before the week concludes.
The 28-year-old is open to embracing a new opportunity following the Foxes’ return to the Premier League.
Interest from Besiktas in the midfielder has existed since early July, and talks have intensified lately as the club aims to bolster its squad ahead of the upcoming Süper Lig season. Softfootball stated that Besiktas submitted an official proposal last weekend, awaiting Ndidi’s response.
Ndidi made his way to Leicester from Genk in January 2017 and has clocked over 250 matches with the team. He played a pivotal role in their FA Cup victory in 2021 and continued to be a significant figure in Leicester’s Championship success under Enzo Maresca.
Although his defensive skills have historically attracted attention from elite teams, in recent years, Ndidi has been utilized in more advanced midfield positions. This adaptability is viewed as a crucial advantage by Besiktas, who are in the process of rebuilding under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
If the transfer is completed, Ndidi will add to the growing list of Nigerian nationals in the Turkish top league. He is expected to take a medical examination in Istanbul once all final arrangements with Leicester are settled.
