Recently, Mzansi has taken to social media to disparage Murdah Bongz, largely due to a post from the notorious X user, Chris Excel.
On Thursday, 11 September 2025, Excel shared an image depicting a man seated on the floor with a blanket draped over him, humorously suggesting this man represented Murdah Bongz preparing to take his wife DJ Zinhle’s surname before her family.
