GALXBOY, that’s culture.”
Established by entrepreneur Thatiso Dube, GALXBOY started as a small-scale initiative in Pretoria, where Dube began designing and marketing custom T-shirts to his classmates. What began in the early 2010s as a personal passion rapidly transformed into a key player in urban streetwear, incorporating distinctive designs that resonate with younger audiences. By 2014, the brand had launched its first physical outlet in Hatfield, Pretoria, signaling its growth throughout South Africa. Currently, GALXBOY aims to expand its reach across the African continent with innovative and affordable clothing that fosters confidence and cultural pride.
Dube’s vision has driven the brand to significant achievements. In May 2025, GALXBOY marked a key moment by launching its 14th store in the prominent Sandton City, underscoring years of perseverance. The brand’s focus on job creation has been recognized—Dube received the Job Creator of the Year award at the 2025 Business Partners Ltd. Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, and was also named a finalist in the Medium Business category for Entrepreneur of the Year, reinforcing GALXBOY’s position in African urban fashion.
