Following considerable excitement generated by the release of the single “Asambe” featuring Ginger Trill, Sastii, and Dussé Wavy, Sblack Entertainment has officially launched its first EP, PMB-Ville Vol. 1, which is now accessible on all prominent streaming services.
This collection of seven tracks serves as a strong declaration from the trio of TheDopeKid, H.B, and Twostep ZN, merging the energetic essence of the new wave with the fire of established hip-hop artists. PMB-Ville Vol. 1 establishes itself as a pivotal point in the dynamic South African hip-hop scene—blending rich lyrics, impactful collaborations, and hard-hitting production.
“This project is where old skool meets new skool,” said Nkosinathi ‘Gates’ Shezi, Label Manager at Sblack Entertainment. “We wanted to show the strength in unity, bridging the pioneers of the genre with today’s rising stars—and the result is PMB-Ville.”
The EP showcases notable contributions from South African rap icons such as Zakwe, Duncan, Loki, Touchline, and Ginger Trill, along with emerging talents like Dussé Wavy, Sastii, and others. The atmosphere is raw, reflective, and unapologetically rooted in hip-hop.
The promotion for this project has already created significant buzz. The “Asambe” music video premiered on MTV Base Africa’s Spanking New Premier segment, garnering acclaim and building up enthusiasm among fans in anticipation of the EP’s launch. The earlier released “Ngiyak’thatha” also generated a lot of chatter on social media due to its genuine feel and meaningful lyrics.
PMB-Ville Vol. 1 is a tribute to both the past and the future, with Sblack Entertainment rising as a formidable group that is redefining hip-hop straight from the heart of KwaZulu-Natal and beyond.
Accessible on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, and more.
