Qhawe expresses gratitude after emerging Miss SA 2025
Qhawekazi Mazaleni, who has recently been crowned Miss South Africa 2025, shared her gratitude after winning at the glamorous event held at SunBet Arena in Tshwane on Saturday night.
In a social media post shortly after her crowning, the beauty queen from the Eastern Cape, who works as a speech therapist, conveyed an emotional message reflecting on her path, her aspirations, and what her victory signifies.
“Ntinga Ntaka Ndini. All I have in my heart is a deep sense of gratitude. This win is not mine alone. It is for every single person who dares to take a chance on themselves and remains rooted in their purpose,” she wrote.
Mazaleni, who is fondly referred to as Qhawe by her fans, emphasized that her tenure is about more than just wearing the crown; it aims to create positive change within communities.
“This is bigger than me,” she stated. “As someone who has experienced the new era of Miss South Africa from within, I cannot wait to share this journey with you. Our mission is rooted in meaningful change in our communities which will continue far beyond my reign.”
The 24-year-old highlighted the role of her community in her journey, noting that she carries their hopes and aspirations with her as she takes on this responsibility.
