Rachel Kolisi recently shared details about her first triathlon experience, which concluded with a visit to the hospital, although fortunately, she sustained no major injuries.
The fitness advocate took to Instagram on Sunday, 7 December, to commemorate the occasion, expressing her joy despite the challenge she faced during the event.
The former spouse of Springboks captain Siya Kolisi conveyed to her audience that completing the demanding race—which incorporated swimming, cycling, and running—has given her a deeper respect for regular participants in the sport.
“I did my very first triathlon today!! I have a whole new respect for these athletes,” she mentioned, revealing that the experience might have sparked a new passion. “And honestly… I think I’ve caught the bug. If you’ve been thinking about doing one, this is your sign to just sign up.”
Rachel expressed gratitude towards the teams and brands that supported her preparations, stating, “Huge thank you to @ww_xtri for an incredible event, @olympiccycles for making sure I had the BEST wheels, and @che_john_ for pushing me to say yes in the first place. Here’s to many more adventures!”
She concluded her message by disclosing that she experienced a fall during the triathlon, which necessitated a hospital visit.
“I did land up in hospital after a very silly fall, thank God no broken bones!” she remarked.
Her followers responded with an outpouring of support and congratulatory messages, commending her resilience and wishing her a swift recovery.
