Raphael Guerreiro, a defender for Bayern Munich, will miss the upcoming UEFA Champions League fixture against Chelsea due to an injury, according to reports from Softfootball.
The Portugal international picked up the injury during Bayern’s 5-0 victory over Hamburger SV this past weekend. The team has been unbeaten this season in the Bundesliga, during which Guerreiro has made one starting appearance and has been substituted in three matches.

Bayern Munich provided an update on the player’s status via their official media. Their announcement stated:
Raphaël Guerreiro suffered a slight injury to his stomach muscles in Bayern’s Bundesliga game against Hamburg, as confirmed by the club’s medical department. As a result, the 31-year-old Portugal international is set for a spell on the sidelines.
Notably, Guerreiro entered the match against Hamburger SV at half-time but had to exit later in the second half due to the injury.
In related news, Bayern Munich plans to feature Nicolas Jackson against his parent club, Chelsea. The Senegalese player, who was loaned to the German club this summer, could leverage this opportunity to demonstrate his capabilities to the London side.
Jackson has indicated his readiness to challenge Chelsea ahead of the Champions League encounter. He aims to ensure that the Blues face a tough opening match. Enzo Maresca’s team attempted to recall Jackson from his loan after Liam Delap was injured, but he declined the offer.
