Bathong DJ Warras did not hold back his opinion upon seeing DJ Poizen’s tombstone shared on social media.
The music producer tragically died in a car accident along with his friend and fellow DJ Chymamusique, and was interred on Saturday, 13 September 2025, in his hometown of Tickeyline village near Tzaneen in Limpopo’s Mopani District, Napscom High School.
After the unveiling of his tombstone, Warras was astonished by its grandiosity. He commented that there wasn’t a need for such an elaborate statue.
“Cha. They’re doing too much, seriously,” he wrote.

Public reactions to DJ Poizen’s tombstone
Following Warras’ remarks about DJ Poizen’s tombstone, many users took to social media to share their responses. Here are a few noteworthy comments:
@Kane_GM9 stated:
“The sponsors wanted to showcase their talent, but they did too much; it’s like a piece of art in a museum, not someone’s final resting place. It lacks the dignity that a grave deserves.”
@LedwabaRonald commented:
“Nothing wrong with the tombstone. Maybe it’s just not your taste. If an opportunity presents itself for a company to advertise their craft, why not? As long as the family is happy. That’s all that matters.”
@khulekaniphung7 expressed:
“I see the love the family had for their son, and maybe expressing the love and passion the guy had for what he was doing and things he had achieved and maybe had done for them because of his job.”
@SourLindsay pointed out:
“Mara guys, the tombstone business has potential, neh? They are doing too much, yes, mara imagine how much they paid for that.”
@MitchPlayer replied:
“That time his spirit is being tormented in Hades and Sheol for his sins🧑⚖️ Under that stone it’s just rotting bones, nothing else! Mental slavery is something else amongst Black people, none of that matters, the dude can’t even see that elaborate stone, absolutely useless and sad.”
@cphumzz tweeted:
“Don’t mean to sound insensitive, but didn’t the media report that the family was struggling and in need of donations, or maybe it was another artist?
