Shebeshxt’s Bail Denial Leaves Him Spending Holidays Behind Bars: Court Decision
Limpopo artist Shebeshxt faced a significant legal challenge when the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court ruled against his application for bail, resulting in his detention during the festive season.
The musician, whose real name is Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, attended court on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, to determine the fate of his bail request following an arrest last November stemming from a road rage incident associated with attempted murder allegations.
After extensive arguments from the defense and prosecution, the magistrate ultimately decided to deny bail.
Consequently, the hitmaker known for “Ambulance” will remain in custody until his next court date, set for 18 February 2026.
Videos of Shebeshxt in court quickly surfaced on social media, with one user sharing a clip capturing the moment the magistrate announced the decision.
This post elicited a range of reactions from followers and critics, many expressing dismay that the artist will spend both Christmas and New Year behind bars.
In the post that gained traction, the user remarked: “Shebeshxt denied bail. The Polokwane Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo has denied bail to musician Shebeshxt. Therefore, he will stay in custody until his next court date on 18 February 2026.”
While some social media users showed support for the musician and his family, others maintained that the court’s decision was warranted due to the gravity of the charges he faces.
This ruling has once again positioned Shebeshxt at the forefront of public discussion, as his ongoing legal issues continue to overshadow his musical career.
