Recently, radio host Sol Phenduka shared an insight into a conversation with fellow radio figure Sizwe Dhlomo, discussing his current weight-loss efforts.
The co-host of Podcast and Chill posted a screenshot of their iMessage dialogue on X, indicating he was contemplating a diet involving only one meal per day.
This dietary approach has attracted attention from various fitness advocates, including South African artist Prince Kaybee.
In his post, Phenduka humorously remarked on his level of hunger by stating: “Yey, I was so hungry. First meal of the Day. Sbonge Dinangwe.”
Throughout their exchange, Dhlomo promptly advised his friend against making dietary changes without appropriate insights.
He encouraged Phenduka to consult a professional rather than relying solely on advice from the internet.
“Don’t eat once a day, bruh. That’s unhealthy. Don’t listen to uneducated opinions. Consult a dietician,” Dhlomo noted.
<pPhenduka, known for his wit, humorously challenged this by referencing how previous generations managed their diets.
“How did our ancestors survive? Definitely not on 3 meals a day,” he humorously questioned.
Dhlomo responded quickly, adding: “They ate at least twice.”
Furthermore, Phenduka posted a picture of his first meal of the day, which consisted of two substantial pieces of pork.
Followers responded with mixed opinions, with some questioning if his meal choices aligned with healthy weight-loss practices, while others pointed out Dhlomo’s warnings concerning extreme dieting.
