Singer Kharishma
A second individual involved in the traffic incident that left Limpopo artist Kharishma gravely injured has died, further compounding the sadness surrounding the late October crash in Polokwane.
Kharishma, known as Melita Magole, was traveling with colleagues on 31 October when their car collided with a bakkie at the intersection of Grobler and Magazyn streets.
The accident resulted in the immediate death of the driver, 23-year-old musician and University of Limpopo student Vincent Maphopha.
Both Kharishma and another passenger were hospitalized with significant injuries.
As reported by Daily Sun, the other passenger, also a local artist and student, has since died at Pietersburg Hospital.
The Limpopo Artists Movement confirmed this news on Saturday, 15 November.
Maphopha, who was known for his skills as a keyboard player and was a final-year BSc student, was buried in his hometown of Groblersdal on 9 November.
His funeral saw the attendance of the MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture, Funani Maseko, alongside numerous members of the Limpopo Artists Movement, including Mphoza Mashabela.
