Trevor Noah to host the Grammys for the 6th time
Trevor Noah will host the Grammy Awards for an impressive sixth and final time, marking a significant end of his role as the face of this key event in the music industry.
The Recording Academy and CBS have announced that the comedian will reprise his hosting duties at the Grammy ceremony, scheduled for 2 February at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Noah’s farewell hosting signifies the conclusion of a period in which he has infused the ceremony with humor, compassion, and cultural significance.
This year’s event is particularly special for him, as he has also taken on the role of executive producer, enhancing his influence over the show.
With this sixth hosting stint, he positions himself just behind Andy Williams, who hosted the Grammys seven times in the 1970s.
The production team has acknowledged Noah’s contributions, with executive producer Ben Winston highlighting his impact as “truly spectacular,” a view shared by fans and industry professionals.
The ceremony holds personal significance for Noah, who is also a nominee this year.
His children’s book, Into The Uncut Grass, is nominated in the Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording category, putting him in the running alongside other contenders.
The upcoming Grammy Awards promise to showcase significant moments, with Kendrick Lamar leading the nominations, having received nine for his latest album, GNX.
The awards show will be broadcast live on CBS at 8:00 pm ET, while viewers in India can watch it at 6:30 am IST on 3 February.
