Umzulu Phaqa & MsFit: Crafting Grammy-Worthy Excellence

Umzulu Phaqa & MsFit: Sculpting Sonic Masterpieces

Yes, Umzulu Phaqa and MsFit have finally released their eagerly awaited project And The Grammy Goes To! For those who share my passion for music that has depth, longevity, and relevance for years to come, this album is a treasure. It’s all about quality rather than sheer volume.

With a total length of just 16 minutes, the project requires your undivided focus. It begins with “GRAMMY”, which sets the tone for the album’s aspirations. This track encapsulates a sense of achievement—overcoming difficulties and emerging victorious. Consider it your new go-to morning anthem. Listen to it, recognize your worth, and embrace your inner champion.

Following this is “PUT IT DOWN”, which seamlessly continues the theme established in the first track. The transition is smooth, the lyrics incisive, and the writing is commendable. This is an example of hip-hop executed with precision.

“AMAHIGH VALUE WAT WAT” directly addresses contemporary youth culture. The message is clear: one should not aspire to a lavish lifestyle without the means to sustain it. While some may interpret this as criticism, it’s invigorating to hear artists confront real-life issues candidly. This track stands out as one of my personal favorites.

At the heart of the project are “SOFELA KHONA” and “ZERO, TAKE ME OUT THE FRIENDZONE”, both powerful tracks that effectively maintain the EP’s momentum.

Next comes “MAKHUMALO”. And genuinely? It prompts the question: how have Umzulu Phaqa and MsFit not yet been acknowledged as the top duo in the country? From “GRAMMY” to “PUT IT DOWN” and now this track? Their talent is not just skill; it seems almost ancestral. It’s an undeniable gift.

Regarding the final track—I’ll refrain from revealing details. You must experience it for yourself. All I will share is: this project indeed meets Grammy standards.
