Uncle Waffles Takes the Helm as Executive Producer for Mix It Up Vol. 4 by Bridges For Music

Uncle Waffles Expands Her Thrilling World Tour with New Dates!

International Amapiano sensation Uncle Waffles is embarking on a new phase in her career as the Executive Producer of Mix It Up Vol.4, the forthcoming EP from BFM Records, the record label division of the South African non-profit Bridges For Music.

This development comes on the heels of Uncle Waffles’ thrilling show on the Ubuntu Stage at EDC Las Vegas 2024, where she had the honor of showcasing South Africa at one of the largest dance music festivals globally. This occasion not only propelled Amapiano into the international spotlight but also deepened her connection with Bridges For Music—who have now given her the responsibility of spearheading one of their most ambitious endeavors to date.

In her role as Executive Producer, Uncle Waffles has curated the lineup, chosen the producers, and directed the creative vision, blending the rich authenticity of African music with a spirit of global cooperation. The EP includes standout artists such as Ghetts, Fave, and Chy Cartier, alongside emerging talents from South Africa like Royal MusiQ, TK Creedlion, Ice Beats Slide, Sbuda Maleather, and Makhanj.

Now reaching its fourth installment, Mix It Up has evolved into more than just a series of EPs—it’s a cultural phenomenon. Through its groundbreaking partnerships, Bridges For Music has continuously forged connections between grassroots African artists and global superstars. From bringing township-origin artists like Athie Umgido and Rudy Julius to stages in Poland, Thailand, and Amsterdam, to supporting the Ubuntu Stage at major festivals worldwide, the initiative remains a testament to music’s role as a universal connector.

For Uncle Waffles, this venture transcends music. “Mix It Up has always been about bringing the world to Africa and taking Africa to the world. I’m honoured to play a part in shaping that journey,” she expresses.

Mix It Up Vol.4 is set for release on 19 September 2025, promising vibrant rhythms, transformative collaborations, and a powerful showcase of Africa’s international sound.
