Njabulo Blom, a former midfielder for Kaizer Chiefs, has parted ways with Vietnamese club Thep Xanh Nam Dinh following an unproductive time there.
Blom joined Nam Dinh at the start of the current season after leaving St. Louis City SC in Major League Soccer.
He made the move alongside noted Bafana Bafana player Percy Tau.
Unfortunately, the transition did not go well for the 26-year-old, who exited the club without featuring in any matches.
Reports indicate that Blom faced eligibility issues and a long-term injury that hampered his time in Vietnam, leading the club to choose not to retain him for the upcoming season.
On Wednesday, Nam Dinh issued a brief statement confirming Blom’s exit along with the departures of three other players as they begin their preparations for the next season.
At Nam Dinh, Blom leaves behind compatriot Percy Tau, who continues with the team.
The former Bafana Bafana player is now at a pivotal point in his career after two challenging stints abroad in the United States and Vietnam.
His future remains uncertain, though a return to the Betway Premiership may be a viable option.
Blom had previously spent his senior career exclusively at Chiefs, developing through the club’s youth ranks before making the leap overseas.
