In an interview with SA Hip Hop Reloaded, the Klerksdorp artist explained that Rocky discovered him through the “Memoirs” music video. \u201cI went to New York, and A$AP Rocky saw my stuff. So A$AP Rocky saw my music video for \u2018Memoirs\u2019 and he sent his guys, like yo, I wanna speak with this guy,\u201d Maglera recounted. \u201cAnd when I was shooting Lia Butler \u2013 \u2018Imimangaliso\u2019 music video he called me for the PUMA collab.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maglera added that Rocky’s approach was more than just a casual message; he engaged the South African artist meaningfully. \u201cThe first time I went to New York was A$AP Rocky finding me down, go shoot with him. We spent like 4-5 days in New York. I was with Rocky most of the days after shooting,\u201d he mentioned.<\/p>\n

In a moment linking their experiences, Rocky even performed one of Maglera’s tracks for him. \u201cThe first song that Rocky rapped for me was \u2018018\u2019 and he rapped Cassper\u2019s chorus,\u201d Maglera revealed.<\/p>\n
