Nico O\u2019Reilly’s future at Manchester City is secure, as the 20-year-old has signed a new five-year contract with the possibility of an extension until 2030, Softfootball reports.<\/p>\n

The young player from Manchester, who has been with City’s academy since he was eight, is being recognized for his notable advancement to the first team, especially after showing his versatility at left-back. His recent performance was during Manchester City\u2019s 2-0 victory over Huddersfield in the FA Cup third round.<\/p>\n

Following interest from Chelsea and other clubs earlier this year, City moved quickly to ensure O\u2019Reilly’s long-term future with the team.<\/p>\n

Reports indicate that the contract extension was crucial in preventing the young player from leaving the club. Fabrizio mentioned last August that a move to Leverkusen was in the works before it fell through.<\/p>\n

Initially playing as an attacking midfielder, O\u2019Reilly made his senior debut in the Community Shield last year and has since excelled in his new role. He appeared in 21 matches across all competitions last season, scoring five goals, three of which were during City\u2019s campaign that led to the FA Cup final.<\/p><\/div>\n
