The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched the Timbuktoo Creative Hub Ideation Incubation Programme on June 5, 2025, aimed at fostering early-stage African entrepreneurs. Set to begin in July, this initiative will support 20-30 founders from 10 African countries, helping them develop their creative businesses and secure investment opportunities.<\/p>\n

The Timbuktoo Creative Hub Ideation Incubation Programme, backed by UNDP, aims to support early-stage entrepreneurs across Africa, particularly focusing on creative fields. This initiative commences in July 2025.<\/p>\n
Selected participants will engage in a six-week virtual program that facilitates the validation of business ideas and imparts essential skills for market entry, thus preparing them for future investments.<\/p>\n
Maxwell Gomera from UNDP emphasized the program’s goal: fostering youth-led ventures to enrich the creative economy while promoting cultural preservation and inclusive growth throughout the continent.<\/p>\n
Targeting 18 to 35-year-olds, the program prioritizes entrepreneurs from ten African countries, including South Africa, Nigeria, and Zambia, and particularly encourages participation from women-led ventures.<\/p>\n
Participants will benefit from workshops that cover critical topics such as networking, financial literacy, and branding, preparing them comprehensively for a final demo day with potential investors.<\/p>\n
