Inno Morolong bares it all in new Showmax documentary \u2018Slay Queens\u2019<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Inno Morolong is back in the limelight, presenting her narrative on her own terms.<\/p>\n

The influential figure and reality television personality, recognized for her lavish lifestyle and vibrant character, is featured in the new Showmax documentary Slay Queens, debuting on October 31.<\/p>\n

Morolong expressed that her participation in this project allowed her to narrate her story from her perspective.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hardly open up, but this show made me open up about many things. It\u2019s also more about the lifestyle that I\u2019m used to living, so it was easy for me to agree to be part of it,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n

For her, Slay Queens represents more than just glamour and luxury; it serves as a platform to reveal her true self to Mzansi.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m always misunderstood. People always assume the worst, but this documentary made me show my other side, from humble beginnings to where I am now,\u201d she said. \u201cI hope my story inspires young girls from small towns that if I can make it, they can also make it.\u201d<\/p>\n

As a mother and businesswoman navigating a challenging industry, Morolong reflects on her difficult journey.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn life it\u2019s important to be patient; good things come to those who wait,\u201d she stated. \u201cI hope viewers learn that with hard work and dedication, you can achieve almost everything. Furthermore, it\u2019s important to believe in God and put Him first in everything you do.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Morolong does not shy away from revealing the more challenging aspects associated with the “slay queen” identity.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is not easy being a slay queen. It takes a lot of money and time to maintain that high-standard look,\u201d she admitted.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome girls fall into debt or end up stranded in foreign countries; others even face abuse or depression but hide it behind the flashy lifestyle.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the stigma attached to the term, Morolong maintains that being a “slay queen” defies common misconceptions.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople think slay queens are high-class escorts or something like that. Even a hardworking woman like Beyonc\u00e9 can look and be labelled a slay queen, but she\u2019s also a wife and a mother. Some women just love to glam up and look good, and that doesn\u2019t make them bad people,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

Discussing the relationships between men and women in this space, Morolong stated, \u201cMen are naturally providers. When they feel like flashing money, they always want to be seen with women who look like slay queens. Most men do pay women to always look a certain way so they can shine.\u201d<\/p>\n
