Shebeshxt Walks Free On R5,000 Bail As February 2026 Trial Looms. Controversial Limpopo rapper Shebeshxt, real name Lehlogonolo Chauke, is once again a free man after the Lebowakgomo Regional Court granted him R5,000 bail on Thursday in connection with a dramatic road-rage shooting incident.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u201cAmbulance\u201d hitmaker, known for both his street anthems and off-stage behavior, made a brief appearance before Magistrate Mohlala Masha. He is facing charges related to an alleged altercation with another driver earlier this year, during which he reportedly brandished a firearm and fired multiple shots at the driver and their vehicle. <\/p>\n

UPDATE: Shebe Receives R5,000 Bail<\/p>\n

Shebeshxt has is now out on bail, his trial is scheduled to run from 17 to 19 February 2026 in the Lebowakgomo Regional Court.<\/p>\n

The artist is accused of allegedly confronted another motorist and fired several shots at him and his vehicle.<\/p>\n

State prosecutor Advocate Tinyiko Maluleke opposed the bail application, arguing that Shebeshxt poses both a flight risk and a threat to public safety due to his expanding criminal record. The rapper currently faces numerous serious charges, including two counts of attempted murder, assault with intent to cause serious bodily harm, robbery with aggravating circumstances, and malicious damage to property across various cases.<\/p>\n

Yet, defence attorney Advocate Nthabiseng Dubazana argued successfully that her client has a record of attending all court hearings related to his previous cases and maintains strong community ties. Magistrate Masha ultimately approved the bail but imposed strict conditions: Shebeshxt must check in at his local police station twice weekly, surrender his passport, and avoid any communication with state witnesses. <\/p>\n

The trial related to the road-rage incident is scheduled to take place from 17 to 19 February 2026 at the same Lebowakgomo court, where the prosecution plans to call eyewitnesses and provide ballistic evidence.<\/p>\n

For the moment, the self-proclaimed \u201cKing of the North\u201d is back at home. However, with a busy court schedule in 2026 and several serious charges looming, the next chapter in Shebeshxt\u2019s story is still unfolding.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
