DJ Maphorisa <\/a>and Thuli P reportedly back together<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Amapiano artist DJ Maphorisa and actress Thuli Phongolo have sparked fresh speculation about their relationship after being seen in each other’s company, almost two years following their well-publicized breakup.<\/p>\n

Their split in 2023 was marred by allegations of assault, which were later dropped. Sources suggest that the two have been privately working on mending their relationship away from the public eye.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, they were seen enjoying a moment together at a Johannesburg site where Phongolo was in the midst of filming a new music video.<\/p>\n

According to insiders speaking to Sunday World, Maphorisa, whose real name is Themba Sekowe, showed up at the location after Phongolo contacted him for his assistance in the shoot.<\/p>\n

She expressed a desire to include his well-known red BMW 325, affectionately called a Gusheshe, in the video.<\/p>\n

\u201cThuli was about to shoot her music video; however, she pointed out that it would be great to have Maphorisa\u2019s BMW as part of the shoot. She immediately phoned Maphorisa to come over with his ride, as she wanted to have the car featured in the video badly,\u201d a source explained.<\/p>\n

Another insider revealed that Maphorisa readily agreed to help, prioritizing her request.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, he reportedly emerged from the vehicle and greeted Phongolo with a warm hug, a gesture that caught the attention of those on set.<\/p>\n

\u201cPhori waited patiently outside the venue of the shoot and chilled while Phongolo and her team were busy filming. It was nice to see that side of Maphorisa after what had transpired between him and Thuli,\u201d the source noted.<\/p>\n

The insider further mentioned that Phongolo expressed her joy at his presence, indicating that they had quietly rekindled their romance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThuli kept on telling us that she was glad that Phori came and that they were secretly back together. After the shoot, she went to Maphorisa, hugged him, and pecked his lips.\u201d<\/p>\n

This reported reunion follows a challenging period in their relationship.<\/p>\n

In May 2023, Maphorisa faced arrest due to a case initiated by Phongolo, who accused him of assault during an argument in Sandton. He was later released on R4,000 bail, and the charges were subsequently withdrawn.<\/p>\n

At that time, the pair issued a joint statement affirming they had resolved their issues amicably.<\/p>\n
