Chinese actor and martial arts expert Jet Li is making headlines again after an extensive hiatus from the film scene.<\/p>\n

During a recent episode on his So Be It<\/em> YouTube channel, the 62-year-old appeared to be in good shape and imparted some wisdom to his audience.<\/p>\n

Li has been facing challenges with hyperthyroidism since around 2010. This ailment leads to exhaustion, an increased heart rate, and variations in weight.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the Romeo Must Die<\/em> star has been dealing with chronic spinal and leg injuries incurred from years of rigorous martial arts performances, causing him considerable physical distress.<\/p>\n

Jet Li makes a comeback in acting<\/h2>\n

Consequently, Li has maintained a low profile within the cinematic world, appearing in only a few films over the last 15 years.<\/p>\n

In the YouTube segment, Jet Li was joined by his youngest daughter, Jada Li, as they discussed themes of learning, observation, and intergenerational respect.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone is unique. I always say don\u2019t look down on young people,\u201d Li said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhere I grew up, I heard people say the \u201980s generation was the worst, then the \u201990s generation \u2014 and now they say Gen Z is better.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone is unique. Everyone we meet deserves respect. These days, you see 15-year-olds \u2014 even 13-year-olds \u2014 graduating from university.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Li has largely stayed under the radar for the past decade, the martial arts icon is poised to make his return to cinema in Blades of the Guardians<\/em>.<\/p>\n

This film will mark Jet Li\u2019s first on-screen appearance since he portrayed the Emperor of China in Disney\u2019s live-action Mulan<\/em>, which was released in 2020.<\/p>\n

He has previously stated that he agreed to take part in Mulan<\/em> at the behest of his daughter.<\/p>\n
