DJ Speedsta Unveils New Hip-Hop Podcast \u201cUp To Speed.\u201d South African hip-hop artist DJ Speedsta is re-engaging with the music scene through his new digital podcast, Up To Speed<\/em>. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Johannesburg-based DJ, who is also a producer and radio host, took to social media to announce the podcast, expressing that the idea has been in development for more than two years. Now, it is ready for its audience. \u201cWelcome to Up To Speed<\/em>. Two years and some change in the making,\u201d he shared. \u201cI am purely here to contribute to culture.\u201d<\/p>\n

Up To Speed<\/em> is structured as a two-part approach. Every Sunday, Speedsta will present his current show on 5FM, setting up the week ahead, and will follow up with extended discussions on YouTube where topics can receive thorough consideration. This setup allows for in-depth dialogues about hip-hop, exploring the music, the artists, and the broader cultural landscape.<\/p>\n

Speedsta made it a point to recognize his collaborators who played vital roles in bringing this project to fruition, specifically thanking Okay Swisher and DJ Fif Laaa for their support. He also acknowledged @ayaprow_biggfun along with BiggFun Media for managing the technical aspects from sound to visuals and lauded Loki\u2019s Lekker for their high-quality studio services. He urged other creatives to utilize the space for post-production needs, including commercials and other media projects.<\/p>\n

The series officially commenced with Episode 1, which launched yesterday on Speedsta\u2019s YouTube channel, DJ Speedsta. This marks a new phase for the artist known for tracks like \u201cMayo\u201d and \u201cSpecial Somebody,\u201d in addition to his gold-certified debut album BottlebrushStr<\/em>.
