The renowned DJ and producer Black Coffee continues to gain attention for his philanthropic efforts, this time through a back-to-school initiative in Soweto.Nkosinathi Maphumulo, known professionally as Black Coffee, made a recent visit to Thabisang Primary School in Orlando West, Johannesburg, on Friday, where his foundation provided school uniforms and shoes to students in need.<\/p>\n

This event served as the kickoff for the Black Coffee Foundation’s 2026 Back to School campaign, in collaboration with Gautrain.<\/p>\n

The foundation stated that the initiative aims not only to supply clothing but also to empower students as they start the new academic year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe supported learners with full school uniforms and school shoes; helping them step into the academic year with confidence and pride. This initiative is about more than clothing. It\u2019s about restoring dignity, strengthening community and investing in the future, one learner at a time,\u201d the foundation said.<\/p>\n

According to the foundation, students at Thabisang Primary School \u201cdidn\u2019t just get uniforms and shoes, they walked into the year with pride and purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to providing uniforms, the foundation launched a new initiative called Gift of Sight, which intends to tackle vision issues among students.<\/p>\n

This program emphasizes early detection and intervention to prevent eyesight problems from impacting academic success.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis initiative focuses on early detection and intervention, ensuring that learners with vision challenges are identified and supported before it affects their long-term academic journey. Education should never be limited by something as preventable as poor eyesight,\u201d the foundation said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re proud to be implementing this programme directly where it makes the biggest difference, in schools, within communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
