A South African artist known as Sweet Guluva, whose real name is Akhonamathema Zwane, has responded to speculation on social media regarding his role as a father to a child recently born to Ashley Ogle.In a statement issued by his representatives, Sweet Guluva indicated that they had held off on making comments previously to respect the privacy surrounding his past relationship with Ogle.<\/p>\n

The management team emphasized that communication throughout their relationship had been confidential.<\/p>\n

Concerning the paternity issue, the statement noted that since early 2025, Sweet Guluva has requested to meet the child and for both families to gather to discuss reparations in line with Zulu customs.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, he wishes to be part of the child’s life.<\/p>\n

However, he asserts that he has yet to meet or see the child in person, claiming that Ogle has turned down his requests.<\/p>\n

The team mentioned that all prior attempts to address the matter privately have been documented and shared with legal counsel.<\/p>\n

The statement also alluded to a video circulating online in which Ogle was questioned about her child’s parentage.<\/p>\n

In the video, she reportedly repeated the term “Jwaang,” avoiding a direct answer regarding the father’s identity.<\/p>\n

This response led some social media users to interpret it as a nod to Sweet Guluva, who utilized the SeSotho term “Jwaang” in a TikTok post from February 2026.<\/p>\n

Sweet Guluva\u2019s management asserted that until he and his family can engage with the child and carry out a paternity test, it would be unwise for him to publicly confirm or deny his paternity.<\/p>\n

They confirmed that legal representatives are in the process of formally seeking access to the child and arranging for a paternity test to verify the facts.<\/p>\n

The management assured the public that Sweet Guluva<\/a> is a dependable individual who has never evaded his obligations.<\/p>\n

They clarified that this public statement aims to combat rising speculation and misinformation, and is not intended to defame anyone.<\/p>\n

In closing, management asked for privacy while they work to resolve this situation discreetly with Ogle and her family, stating that no additional public statements will follow for now.<\/p>\n
