Arno Greeff quits acting<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

South African actor Arno Greeff has announced his departure from long-form television and film acting after over a decade in the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n

He gained significant recognition for his role in the popular Netflix series Blood & Water<\/em>. Greeff shared his decision in a thoughtful Instagram post, indicating that this choice followed years of careful consideration and changing personal priorities.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s something I have been thinking about for the past two to three years, and a lot has happened over the past few weeks that has solidified my decision to move on into a new era,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

Greeff stated that his primary motivation for this change is to prioritize spending more quality time with his family and friends.<\/p>\n

After 12 years in the intense arena of film and television, he noted that being frequently away from home no longer fits with the lifestyle he aspires to have.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of it is just about priorities; it\u2019s not a priority anymore. I don\u2019t want to be away from home and away from my family anymore, and over the past few years, I\u2019ve lost my passion for it,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

While reflecting on his journey, Greeff conveyed his appreciation for the opportunities he experienced and the accolades he received throughout his career.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m fortunate that I\u2019ve had an amazing career. The past 12 years have been filled with phenomenal success and surprises, achieving things I never thought would be possible. It\u2019s time to move on,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Even though he is distancing himself from long-form acting, Greeff made it clear that he does not intend to exit the entertainment industry altogether.<\/p>\n

He has plans to continue appearing in commercials and will seek out opportunities as a presenter.<\/p>\n

Greeff also acknowledged the current difficulties within the television and film sectors, suggesting that these challenges played a role in his decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s the worst time ever to be in the TV and film industry. It\u2019s tough to see everything that\u2019s been going on, which nudged me towards moving on,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Looking to the future, Greeff hinted at new pursuits that relate to an earlier aspiration in his career.<\/p>\n

Known for his adventurous spirit and willingness to tackle new challenges, he stated that this transition allows him to explore varied interests.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019ve known me for some time, then you know I like challenges; I like learning new things. I like to know more about life, and this has given me an opportunity to know more.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
