Recently, Edwin van der Sar was a guest on The Overlap podcast, as mentioned on their official Twitter account<\/a>. During the episode, the renowned goalkeeper was invited to create his ultimate five-a-side team made up of Dutch players, featuring some of the country’s football legends.<\/p>\n

\u201cJeez, you missed that.\u201d<\/p>\n

As discussions about Dutch icons continue, the current Netherlands national football team is also in the spotlight. Recently, they secured their spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a convincing 4\u20130 victory over Lithuania at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n

Goals from Cody Gakpo (two), Donyell Malen, and Xavi Simons ensured their qualification and confirmed the Netherlands as group winners.<\/p>\n
