YFM has unveiled its programming schedule for 2026, indicating a significant shift aimed at resonating with the dynamic nature of youth culture.<\/p>\n

Starting April 1, the updated lineup represents a strategic transition in tone and direction, positioning the station as more daring and closely aligned with its audience.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis line-up is a true reflection of where we are as a brand and where youth culture is going. We\u2019re constantly evolving, constantly creating, and always looking for new ways to connect with our audience,\u201d said programme manager Phindile Ziqubu.<\/p>\n

\u201c2026 is about being louder, bolder, and more fearless than ever before. And Y NOT?\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

The station is also broadening its scope beyond conventional radio by implementing digital-first content under its \u201cBeyond FM\u201d concept.<\/p>\n

These new shows aim to engage directly with the interests and discussions of Gen Z.<\/p>\n

Among the fresh offerings is \u201cIt\u2019s an Uncool Show,\u201d hosted by Uncool MC, which promises to provide insights into Amapiano culture and its expanding global reach.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Lerai is set to host \u201cMoney Talks,\u201d a program focused on exploring politics, finance, and the socio-economic realities affecting young individuals.<\/p>\n

On-air lineup changes are a central element of the new direction. Karen Mthethwa will take over the mid-morning slot with \u201cThe Glow Up,\u201d broadcast from 9am to 12pm, succeeding longstanding presenter Xtremme.<\/p>\n

Evening programming will see a transformation as well, with Barbara Moagi and Tulz Madala collaborating on \u201cUncensored,\u201d airing from 8pm to 10pm on weekdays.<\/p>\n

This pair replaces Dimpho Makgotho, who hosted the show for four years.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe duo will be pushing boundaries and taking conversations to the next level. Expect bold takes, unfiltered opinions, and undeniable unmatched chemistry,\u201d the station said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Weekend programming has also been revamped, with DJ Sliqe and Roiii hosting Sunday evenings, while Munaka Muthambi will lead \u201cThe Rizz\u201d on Saturdays.<\/p>\n
