In the recent Netflix docuseries Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom<\/em>, Lamar Odom, a two-time NBA champion, revealed that his attraction to Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian stemmed from the allure of the lifestyle linked to the Kardashian clan.<\/p>\n

The couple tied the knot in 2009, merely a month after their romance began. They first crossed paths at a gathering hosted by former NBA player Ron Artest.<\/p>\n

Lamar\u2019s documentary<\/a> is part of the Netflix Untold documentary series, which showcases various sports figures in each episode.<\/p>\n

LAMAR ODOM\u2019S TELL-ALL NETFLIX DOCUMENTARY<\/h2>\n

This insightful documentary focuses on the former basketball player’s rise to fame, as well as his personal and professional challenges.<\/p>\n

The film delves into elements that led to his decline, including issues with substance abuse and multiple infidelities throughout his marriage to Khlo\u00e9.<\/p>\n

In discussing his marriage with Khlo\u00e9, Lamar admitted that it was her celebrity lifestyle that initially drew him in, in addition to his genuine feelings for her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m already Lamar Odom, and I\u2019m just watching how she live [lives] and their lifestyle, I\u2019m like, I know this is where I wanna [want to] be. Like, this is how I wanna [want to] live.<\/em>\u201c<\/p>\n

Embracing his newfound fame, the basketball legend created Khlo\u00e9 & Lamar<\/em>, a reality TV series centered around their lives together.<\/p>\n

Khlo\u00e9 also contributed to the documentary, mentioning that their reality show was \u201cled by Lamar\u201d, highlighting that she participated to bring him joy.<\/p>\n

\u201cKhlo\u00e9 & Lamar was very much led by Lamar, I was spread really thin. I also didn\u2019t really want it to jeopardize the family brand. I thought there was [were] so many Kardashian shows<\/em>,\u201d Khlo\u00e9 remarked.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I also wanted to do what made him happy, and he was so excited about it<\/em>,\u201d she further explained.<\/p>\n

Lamar\u2019s daughter, Destiny Odom, shared her perspective on her father’s marriage to Khlo\u00e9 and his aspirations regarding reality television.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe did love Khlo\u00e9, but he\u2019d wanted to be on reality TV for a long time,\u201d<\/em> Destiny revealed.<\/p>\n

LAMAR ODOM: ALWAYS OPEN ABOUT HIS LIFE<\/h2>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Lamar has opened up about his experiences.<\/p>\n

In 2019, he released his memoir From Darkness to Light<\/em>, and in 2022, he appeared in a TMZ special, Lamar Odom: Sex, Drugs & Kardashians<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on his infidelity during his marriage to Khlo\u00e9 and whether she was aware of his struggles with substance abuse, Lamar shared:<\/p>\n

\u201cFor part of our marriage, I had to tell her. You can\u2019t hide that. She was hurt. But Khlo\u00e9 was a good wife,<\/em>\u201d Lamar explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe wasn\u2019t dismissive, or like, \u2018Get away from me\u2019 or ugly and nasty. She wanted to protect me. Behind the scenes, I put her through sh-t<\/em>, he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had these random women coming out. I was having full-blown relationships on the road, and my wife is Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian. It\u2019s buggin\u2019. I\u2019m laughing out of embarrassment<\/em>, he concluded.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
