Letoya Makhene has spoken openly about the emotional challenges her previous relationships have posed for her and her children, acknowledging significant regrets linked to her personal life choices.<\/p>\n

Since the launch of The Makhenes<\/em> on Mzansi Magic in April, audiences have been closely engaged with the actress and musician\u2019s family interactions, with substantial online discourse surrounding her romantic past and her role as a mother.<\/p>\n

During an interview with the channel, Makhene shared that the reality series was her initiative and expressed that it represented more than merely a chance to appear on TV.<\/p>\n

The former star of Generations: The Legacy<\/em> disclosed that the show allowed her to regain her voice after experiencing what she termed a harmful public smear campaign linked to her highly publicized divorce from Lebo Keswa.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeyond it being a good financial opportunity and helping me get back on my feet after the first smear campaign against me shut down my work, it was also a chance to correct the narrative and allow people to decide for themselves, through my story, whether they want to love or hate me,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Recent speculations regarding her expecting another child, along with the father\u2019s brief appearance in the reality show\u2019s initial episode, have once again placed her personal life in the spotlight.<\/p>\n

Makhene recognized that her romantic life has not consistently matched the equilibrium she strives for in other aspects of her life.<\/p>\n

While balancing motherhood, music, acting, and family commitments, she reflected on the difficult realities of her own choices and their consequences.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am most disappointed in myself when it comes to my choices in partners, and I have worked too hard to establish balance. I am currently on a journey of self-discovery,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n

The actress also admitted that several of her personal decisions have had adverse effects on her children, a truth that continues to burden her.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s why it hurts so much knowing that some of my choices have affected them negatively,\u201d she stated before adding, \u201cI\u2019ve had to, and continue to do the work to forgive myself for where I\u2019ve gone wrong. They are my world.\u201d<\/p>\n
