Cassper Nyovest recently made an unexpected return to X (formerly Twitter), fully embracing his confidence as he responded to critics questioning his legacy.

In a tweet that went viral on 20 May 2026, the artist emphasized his achievements, asserting that event organizers book him not for his business acumen, but rather for his hit songs.

“13 years deep and y’all have manufactured the lie that I’m only as big as I am because of my brilliant business mind. When promoters book me, they don’t book me based on my business acumen; they book me to perform my HITS! I am not a motivational speaker, I’m a SUPERSTAR!”

One follower referenced Nota Baloyi, recalling his previous claim that Mufasa “doesn’t even have five hits.”

This statement surfaced during the latest episode of The Music Pulse on 19 May, where Nota contended with co-hosts Thakgi and Sfiso that, apart from Doc Shebeleza, Mufasa has no other significant tracks in his catalog.

In response to Nota’s comments, the rapper laughed off the criticism, implying that the controversial music commentator’s reasoning was questionable and indicating he does not regard Nota’s views seriously.

“Haha, Nota isn’t all the way okay in the head, and y’all ain’t ready for that conversation, but it’s cool. In the head and the heart.”

This is not the first instance where Mufasa has called into question Nota’s mental condition. In 2025, the music critic responded sharply after Cassper suggested he might need “medication.”

This most recent interaction contributes to a long-standing rivalry between the two, where Nota has frequently positioned himself as one of Cassper’s most vocal adversaries, often critiquing his music and artistic legacy on social media.

While Nota tends to minimize Cassper’s feats, the rapper normally disregards such remarks or responds with humor. However, this latest response illustrates that although the Tito Mboweni artist does not let criticism affect him, he is prepared to defend his reputation when necessary.

Shortly after, the “Tsibipians” rallied together and ridiculed Nota in support of their favorite artist.

MunchoB criticized Nota Baloyi:

“Nota is behaving like a mad scientist, but with half the knowledge.”

OKUHLE_16o6 expressed agreement with Cassper Nyovest:

“Now that you’ve said it, it actually makes sense.”

MogolwaneMaatla remarked:

“This is exactly what I said, and they attacked me. That isn’t normal behaviour.”

Mas__NT commented:

“There’s definitely something up with that bru.”

Conversely, some commenters reinforced Nota’s assertions, questioning whether Mufasa genuinely considers his songs to be hits. They noted that while Cassper enjoys tremendous commercial success and can easily attract large audiences, his music may not possess the enduring quality that true hip hop enthusiasts seek.
