Michael Fisher, the former manager of Nirvana Nokwe-Mseleku, has spoken out following a statement from Bomb Productions, which addressed the actress’ serious allegations against both the production company and actor Bonko Khoza. Nokwe-Mseleku recently caused a stir in South Africa by alleging that Khoza sexually assaulted her while they were filming a scene for the show Red Ink. She asserted that Khoza exceeded the limits agreed upon during rehearsals.<\/p>\n
In response to these allegations, Bomb Productions released a statement refuting claims that they had overlooked or minimized Nokwe-Mseleku\u2019s concerns after the incident. The production firm asserted that they took the allegations seriously and adhered to relevant protocols upon their emergence.<\/p>\n
After the company’s statement, Michael Fisher responded via email to Briefly News, advocating for his client. He focused on specific parts of Bomb Productions’ message, suggesting that Nokwe-Mseleku’s concerns were not properly addressed following the incident.<\/p>\n
Fisher contended that the investigation conducted by Bomb Productions was biased, noting that the company itself had a vested interest in the results. He also expressed concerns over the company’s alleged attempts to obtain an apology from Khoza.<\/p>\n
\u201cAside from the fact that a disinterested third party should have conducted these investigations, the statement omits the following. As late as September 11, 2023, after a full month of these ‘internal investigations’, Thabo Boom, The Bomb Shelter’s and Red Ink Productions’ responsible producer on the set, in an email stated on behalf of The Bomb Shelter and Red Ink Productions that ‘we are reaching out to facilitate the apology’. This is a direct quote,\u201d part of the email read.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Fisher questioned the rationale behind Thabo Boom’s promise to facilitate an apology from Bonko Khoza if the investigations had concluded no wrongdoing occurred. He emphasized that, during this period, there was no disagreement that boundaries had been breached, and the debate centered on whether the actions could be classified as sexual assault.<\/p>\n
\u201cClearly, no such effort to obtain an apology from Mr Khoza would have been undertaken by The Bomb and Red Ink Productions if their ‘internal investigation’ had resulted in insufficient evidence to substantiate the allegations. I must add that, in actuality, at that time, it appeared that at no point did anyone dispute that the incident occurred. The discussion instead apparently revolved exclusively around whether the incident amounted to sexual assault or not,\u201d Fisher added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n
