A music promoter from Zimbabwe has ignited a major discussion after expressing his dissatisfaction with several South African Amapiano artists for allegedly skipping confirmed performances in Zimbabwe, even after being compensated. During a recent podcast session, he conveyed his discontent about collaborating with specific artists and warned that Daliwonga might face repercussions if he re-enters Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n

The promoter explained that hosting international events demands a considerable financial outlay, with many artists insisting on receiving full payment prior to their travel. He noted that promoters not only pay performance fees but also take care of flights, accommodations, logistics, and marketing costs well in advance of the events.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost artists demand full payments upfront, mostly South Africans. We pay them upfront, the flights and everything,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Younger artist Young Stunna was one of the individuals referenced in the conversation. The promoter alleged that Young Stunna withdrew from a booked performance just before the event, citing a family issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cYoung Stunna\u2019s excuse was that his wife was giving birth or she was in labour of some sort. We found out a few days before,\u201d the promoter stated.<\/p>\n

He also criticized Uncool MC, claiming that the artist did not fulfill his commitment to perform even after significant preparations and financial investments were made by the organizers.<\/p>\n

According to the promoter, this situation has escalated into a legal matter.<\/p>\n

\u201cUncool MC had the nerve to say, \u2018I\u2019m tired.\u2019 I have text messages on my phone showing he said he was tired because he had a show the previous night. This is not South Africa; this is an international show. We paid first-class tickets and had a major event waiting for him,\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n

The promoter went on to assert that legal action involving Uncool MC is currently in process, though no public court decision has yet been issued.<\/p>\n

Comments regarding Daliwonga were particularly provocative. The promoter charged that the artist acted unprofessionally by missing a scheduled performance in Zimbabwe under the pretense of travel complications.<\/p>\n

\u201cDaliwonga lied about being at the airport and saying they were late. It\u2019s very unprofessional on the side of the artist,\u201d he alleged.<\/p>\n

However, the promoter also indicated that his own inquiry revealed Daliwonga\u2019s absence might have stemmed from financial disputes between the artist and his management or production crew.<\/p>\n

\u201cI discovered that they owed him money from previous events. I think it was a contractual issue between him and his team, and it affected us,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

When questioned about the potential outcome if Daliwonga were to return to Zimbabwe, the promoter made a bold claim, stating, \u201cI\u2019m going to arrest him, I\u2019ve got a docket in his name. The moment he lands by the airport we going to nab him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The promoter mentioned he had filed a case related to the situation and intends to pursue legal action.<\/p>\n

As of this report, neither Daliwonga, Young Stunna, nor Uncool MC had publicly addressed the promoter\u2019s claims. The narrative continues to spark discussions online, with fans urging all involved parties to clarify the issues surrounding the performances and contracts.<\/p>\n

This controversy has once again brought to light important conversations about professionalism, artist management, contracts, and accountability within the expanding Amapiano sector, which faces growing expectations from promoters and audiences alike.<\/p>\n
