\u201cThe idea came after I released the mixtape,\u201d<\/em> he stated. \u201cAt first, I wasn\u2019t sure what I was going to call the album. I kept asking myself, \u2018What am I going to name it?\u2019 But I knew I wanted to do something in my mother\u2019s name because that\u2019s where I believe I got this talent from, and also the drive that first got me here.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI always say this in interviews: I was inspired by the fact that she used to be a musician as well. That made me feel like, \u2018Yo, I want to do this for her too.\u2019 Looking back now, I realize I\u2019ve always loved music, even prior to that realization.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Beyond paying tribute to his mother’s legacy, Nosange<\/em> became an outlet for Lowfeye to address his own emotional struggles. He described the album as a crucial step in his personal development, explaining that he needed to confront his past burdens before moving forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the same time, I felt like there were a lot of things I had been carrying emotionally. Before I could truly continue my journey and move forward, I had to address those things and fully heal from them.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Lowfeye also indicated that Nosange<\/em> is closely tied to his previous project, Umphana Makulu<\/em>. He views this album not as a departure from previous themes, but rather as a continuation of the narratives that fans may recognize from his earlier work.<\/p>\n

\u201cI touched on some of those experiences in Umphana Makulu, and if you listen closely, you\u2019ll find a correlation between that project and this album. So Nosange<\/em> is, in a way, a continuation of that story.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
