A brief video featuring Murdah Bongz celebrating at a Polokwane entertainment venue has ignited debates on social media, with users sharply divided over whether the DJ and record producer behaved inappropriately in front of the cameras. The footage, taken on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, at Slageng, a grill and entertainment venue in Seshego Zone 1, depicts Bongz dancing alongside women in a lounge adorned with dim, colorful lighting.

The clip was shared by X user @LehulaMary, who paired it with a candid observation that stirred significant controversy.

“I just saw a video of Bongani and honestly, I don’t think he respects DJ Zinhle at all. Maybe I’m too traumatised, but I genuinely don’t think that’s how someone who’s married should behave,” she wrote.

Her post triggered a quick and passionate reply from Mzansi, with a majority feeling the critique was an unwarranted attack on Murdah Bongz.

Most commenters sided with the music producer, asserting that the video depicted normal behavior for someone in his field. Here is a selection of their remarks:

@Conniedlamini4 stated:

“Chomi, he’s just dancing, nothing wrong here”

@OslinaM commented:

“I watched this 154673 times; I still can’t see anything wrong here”

@ElsSaidIt remarked:

“Is this the video?? Aowa Mary😂🤚🏾🤚🏾 He didn’t do anything nje”

@lykable1 explained:

“The guy is an entertainer; he’s a DJ. His whole career is centred around being in a club scene. Girls, hubbly will always be around. Zinhle is old enough to understand this is the kind of lifestyle not only her husband is exposed to but also herself”

@Perry_twice442 provided insight on who the women in the video were:

“Those are bottle girls. Go check all videos tsa Slageng, and you’ll see they’re assigned to behind DJ booth. They’re at work same as Bongz.”

However, not everyone dismissed @LehulaMary’s concerns entirely. @uYolule shared thoughts on the challenges that come with this lifestyle:

“…and someone thinks a man exposed to beautiful ladies every time they step out to work, mostly at night even, where lots of alcohol is consumed, etc, can say no all the time?😭😭 Maybe I’m just too weak for umjolo or marriage”
