A 31-year-old man has received a 20-year prison sentence for the murder of his 20-year-old girlfriend on a farm close to Swartruggens in the North West province.<\/p>\n

According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), the pair had been to a tavern before returning to the farm.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was later found unresponsive in his room with multiple bruises and a swollen face. She was declared dead at the scene,\u201d said Mokgadi.<\/p>\n
