The song opens with Darkua asserting her intent to embrace love again. She transitions into her native Ga, questioning who will genuinely stand by her, a moment that conveys her vulnerability while also expressing hope that her partner will be there for her.

At its core, “Know You” delves into the essence of commitment. It illustrates the act of offering a partner another chance not from a place of weakness, but from a position of love, urging them to honor this opportunity. The interplay between Darkua and TAR1Q effectively brings this dynamic to life, highlighting Darkua’s openness and TAR1Q’s response, which is marked by confidence and authenticity.

This single emerged from the CNM x Rainlabs Songwriting Camp held in March 2026, a project aimed at connecting artists from anglophone and francophone West Africa in a collaborative environment.

Regarding the collaboration, Darkua stated: “TAR1Q has been an artist I have wanted to work with for a while now, and he has been on my radar. The camp presented the perfect opportunity to make this session possible. We recorded the song on the last day of the camp, and it was one of the best sessions we had.”
