Softfootball reports that Paris Saint-Germain’s manager, Luis Enrique, has signed a three-year contract extension that will ensure his position at the club until June 2030.

The 56-year-old Spaniard has had a remarkable tenure with the French champions since his appointment in July 2023, leading PSG to consecutive Champions League victories and three Ligue 1 titles.

Enrique’s contract was originally set to conclude at the end of this season, but PSG has acted swiftly to secure his future after his impressive track record in the French capital.

The announcement was made just prior to PSG’s Ligue 1 match against Monaco, with the club catching fans off guard by revealing several contract renewals across the team on their social media channels.

In addition to Enrique, PSG players João Neves, Willian Pacho, Lucas Beraldo, and Senny Mayulu have all agreed to contract extensions lasting until 2031.

Midfielder Fabián Ruiz has also committed to PSG, having signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2028.

These decisions indicate PSG’s commitment to retaining the core group of a team that has achieved historic success under Enrique while also pursuing further development to compete at the highest levels domestically and in Europe.

Since taking over, Enrique has reshaped PSG, solidifying the club’s place among Europe’s top teams following their recent Champions League wins. His extension guarantees that he will continue to play a key role in the club’s sporting ambitions for the foreseeable future.

This announcement coincides with a pivotal moment for Enrique, who has recently weighed in on the 2026 Ballon d’Or debate, stating that the award should belong to a player from his PSG team.

In a press conference, Enrique asserted his belief that one of his players has made a strong case for football’s most esteemed individual accolade.

These remarks have intensified the already competitive landscape surrounding the Ballon d’Or, with the ceremony set to take place in October, featuring several frontrunners drawing significant attention.

For PSG, these contract renewals signal a strategic intent.

By securing Enrique until 2030 and extending contracts for Neves, Pacho, Beraldo, and Mayulu until 2031, while ensuring Ruiz’s commitment until 2028, PSG is signaling its determination to maintain stability after a period of historic achievements.

Enrique’s new contract is particularly noteworthy considering his accomplishments since coming to Paris. With three Ligue 1 championships and back-to-back Champions League titles already in his profile, he has the chance to solidify his legacy further within the club.

PSG evidently sees continuity as the optimal path forward, choosing to keep their manager and several essential players aligned for the long term.
