The situation followed Emtee’s performance at the Cape Town festival on September 5, where he prompted the audience to chant against his critic. This incident quickly gained traction online, reviving interest in the ongoing tension between the two.

Emtee seemed to enjoy the moment, using his performance at the Ostrich Ranch in Du Noon as another episode in his ongoing rivalry with Nota. The incident piqued the interest of the hosts of Podcast and Chill’s Music Pulse, who analyzed the viral moment and speculated about Nota’s potential response.

Nota’s response suggests he views the crowd’s chanting as a clear indication that his name remains relevant in discussions, regardless of his presence.

Their relationship over the years has featured numerous public spats, with Nota often commenting on Emtee’s career choices and personal life, while Emtee has countered with his own remarks.

In this instance, the clash unfolded in front of a festival audience. Instead of retaliating, Nota chose to acknowledge the moment humorously, emphasizing the irony of thousands chanting for him while he was absent from the venue.
