An enthusiastic fan of Emtee has set up a petition advocating for the South African rapper to perform at FNB Stadium in 2027, which has sparked discussion within Mzansi.

User @itsmytimecurtis on X shared the initiative on Friday, 11 September 2026, appealing to fans for their support in signing and promoting the campaign. The petition, hosted on Change.org, positions the envisioned stadium event as more than just a concert, labeling it a festivity of South African musical tradition. The individual behind the petition points to Emtee’s work, dating back to his hit Roll Up, as a source of personal motivation and believes that the rapper’s journey deserves recognition on one of the nation’s largest stages.

The petition also addresses the logistical aspects of hosting such a major event, noting the requirements for venues, sponsorships, security, and funding, indicating that the effort is being approached with seriousness. This effort coincides with DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small finalizing preparations for the Scorpion Kings Live event at FNB Stadium. As of now, the Change.org petition has garnered 10,526 verified signatures.
