This announcement comes on the heels of the buzz generated by his debut album in 2024, Pray 4 Pitori, also referred to as P4P. Released under Punyete Premier League and MODAR, this album established Pounds as a notable voice emerging from Pretoria’s hip-hop landscape, drawing inspiration from his environment, personal experiences, and the local language.

Prior to Pray 4 Pitori, Pounds was already beginning to build his discography with earlier works like 2022’s Hood Misunderstood, and tracks such as “Sosh Plata” played a role in broadening his audience.

Pounds is also known for his significant involvement in his production and creative vision. His music fuses thoughtful lyrics with melodic elements while reflecting the culture of Pretoria.

Now that the new album is finished, all eyes are on what Pounds intends to unveil next. Fans eagerly await information regarding the release date, title, tracklist, and, crucially, the significance of “G2G”.
