He further connected A-Reece’s recent artistic evolution to the joy his fatherhood brings. “I genuinely believe the happiness his daughter brings him is going to make him a better artist; it’s so versatile, my word. We are so back, finally!” he elaborated.

This commendation is significant given the complex history between the two artists, whose connections trace back to their days in The Wrecking Crew. Ex Global has previously voiced concerns about unpaid royalties from their past collaborations, expressed support for A-Reece in his formative years, and critiqued elements of the rapper’s music after their collective disbandment.

However, their relationship has not always been marked by strife. Ex Global has also come to A-Reece’s defense on public platforms, acknowledging his dedication to his artistry during times when he felt marginalized in the broader South African music landscape.

Ex Global’s recent remarks carry a different sentiment. Rather than dwell on past tensions, he is highlighting the new facets he perceives in A-Reece’s work.

In “Hood Gospels,” part of Loatinover Pounds’ Ground 2 Glory, A-Reece oscillates between English and Sipitori, discussing themes of fatherhood as well as his own experiences with loss. The verse has rapidly garnered attention from fans, particularly those eager to see the Pretoria artist embrace his local roots.

Online discussions have referred to “Spitori Reece before GTA 6,” and some listeners have even suggested a full collaborative album featuring both artists.

For Ex Global, the verse signifies more than just a strong contribution. His statements indicate he perceives a link between A-Reece’s personal experiences and the creative freedom he is now demonstrating.
