In a conversation with SA Hip Hop Mag<\/em>, the Amapiano artist was inquired about any reservations he might have had regarding the fusion of his piano-inflected sound with Nadia Nakai\u2019s hip-hop style. Toss swiftly negated the notion, citing his background as a rapper.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot really. I have a history in hip-hop. I\u2019m a rapper, funny enough. I\u2019m really a rapper on the core, so it wasn\u2019t a hard decision to make,\u201d <\/em>Toss explained.<\/p>\n

His remarks underscored an aspect of his artistry that may be overlooked due to his prominence in Amapiano. Although he has carved out a significant reputation in the genre, Toss emphasized that hip-hop continues to hold a vital position in his musical persona.<\/p>\n
