A’ja Wilson’s claim to being the greatest player in WNBA history is becoming increasingly compelling. At only 29 years of age, the Las Vegas Aces star has amassed four WNBA MVP awards, setting a record in the league that surpasses the three honors held by icons like Lisa Leslie, Sheryl Swoopes, and Lauren Jackson.

Wilson’s skill set is marked not only by her scoring ability but also by her impact on defense. She is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, a seven-time All-Star, and a five-time All-WNBA First Team honoree. In 2025, she posted impressive averages of 23.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks, securing her position as the league’s top scorer and shot-blocker.

Beyond her individual skills, Wilson has been a key player in leading the Aces to three championships, winning titles in 2022, 2023, and 2025. She earned the Finals MVP honors in 2023 and 2025. During the 2025 Finals, her performance was remarkable as she averaged 28.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists. This achievement made her the first player in WNBA history to win MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and Finals MVP all in the same season.

Her 2024 and 2025 seasons underscored her remarkable consistency. In 2024, she was the first to score 1,000 points in a regular season, and in 2025, she became the sole player with four MVP titles. Furthermore, she is the only WNBA player to average at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and one steal in a season.
